Sonnet 2.II - Snow Prayers
A Spenserian rhyme-scheme sonnet, about how I'd like to keep it winter until the equinox says otherwise. If not in weather, at least in mindset.

Note: In the following sonnet, I compare the act of hanging up snow-decor to prayer.
Two photos mom sent - my uncle and aunt in Tennessee bundled up in snow clothes, then aunt, an angel in snow - were a taunt to us Georgia-dwelling, snow-longing souls. We had hoped for a text that schools were closed and dragged our feet until the last minute. But the rain dried up before the air froze. There was no need, we had to admit it. Snow, quite honestly, isn’t my favorite. But winter doesn’t seem right with no snow. I hang snow decor to make up for it and to remind myself to take it slow. I wonder too if my prayer won’t conjure a bit of snow at least once per winter.

I think of those years when we got snow where we are, and my friends in the Atlanta area got ice. Yikes! My prayer would undoubtedly be for snow. 😊
Very nice!
Speaking of snow, we normally get two to three small events per year but nothing last winter or this winter, thus far. I'm hoping it's just an aberration and not a trend.
